Snapshots: A Day at the O.C.

We spent yesterday at Onion Creek, otherwise known as the O.C. Papa cooked some gourmet omelets, with his sous chef John Paul. They made quite a duo and the eggs were delish. Then, Papa and Scott took the boys golfing. It appears they had a good time. Although at hole #2, they were already asking for a bathroom and lunch.Nana and I took the girls shopping, of course. Unfortunately, there are no pictures of our excursion, only receipts 🙂 It's ...

Snapshots: Blanton Museum

We've had this "date" on the books for 3 weeks. The Blanton Museum of Art at (ahem, t.u.) is just a block from Scott's downtown office. It's a truly fabulous place and for the last 6 weeks they've had this exhibit on "The Virgin, Saints and Angels." We had to check it out. I'm not sure who was more excited, Scott and I, or Will. I would show you the art, but no photos allowed. Sorry. If you have some ...

Top Ten: Best Spring Breaks

You knew it was coming, right? The weather here rocks (if you're not in Central Texas, I apologize now for gloating). He loves this weekend and looks forward to it all year. I'm looking forward to having Uncle Cory back in Texas so he has someone in which to share his excitement. When he starts the play-by-play, my face pretty much goes blank. Sorry, honey.Friday night Will had his first sleepover for a friend's ...

Change of heart

And then, as an aside, I decided to do the Stations of the Cross with the kids. Will was at a birthday party and I had just put Clare to bed. John Paul and Anna-Laura were in the living room watching tv. The kitchen was a disaster, so was the living ...

Snapshots: Yee Haw!

Oh my, so many to share. Texas Day, in honor of our state's sweet birthday, was a hit at St. Helen today. You should've heard them sing...There was a whole lotta sass with those boots today, so "Miss Texas" wasn't into taking any pictures. Sorry.

Howdy!

... and welcome to the mess. I know a thing or two about big families (I've got 6 kids + a daughter-in-law), carpool, grief, Jesus, the Texas Aggies, prematurity, marriage counseling, decluttering and party planning, but I still don't know why it's so hard for my kids to put up their shoes. My Texas-sized heart is honored to have you here!
