Welcome!

Howdy y'all! In this space you'll likely find some chaos, some humor and a hefty dose of authenticity. Kathryn is the mom of six - college to elementary school - wife to one amazing man and an author and speaker. As a sixth-generation Texan, her twang is legit. You can get your daily dose via Instagram Stories. Kathryn's days are filled with carpool, sports, 4-H, 5am workouts, procrastinating meal planning and a decent amount of late night (thanks Netflix and teenagers).

In September 2009 she gave birth to a preemie, Luke. Becoming "that" family, the one everyone talks about, shakes their head and says, "I don't know how they do it," was humbling. Pretty sure survival was a combination of divine intervention, some pain meds, a great marriage therapist, a compassionate priest and the occasional Shiner Bock. Luke's life, and its many lessons, redefined her family.

Her award-winning book, Live Big, Love Bigger, is on bookshelves and Audible! Kathryn's good friend and SiriusXM radio host of The Busted Halo Show, Fr. Dave Dwyer, CSP, wrote the foreword. If you're struggling to live authentically and want to live a 'hell yes' kind of life, then this book is for you. Learn all about it here.

In 2023, Kathryn helped re-launch two podcasts for Hand to Hold, a national non-profit for NICU parents and professionals. NICU Babies Parent Support focuses on resources and insight for caregivers before, during and after a NICU stay. NICU Heroes is for NICU professionals seeking to enhance their education through continuing education credits. You can find them both on your favorite podcasting platform, as well as YouTube.

What You'll Find Here

In this space, Kathryn shares openly and honestly about making mistakes, reaching out for advice (sometimes while hiding in her closet), finding God in the details, planning some parties, organizing your corner of the world and praying God fills in the gaps when she has a less-than-stellar day. If you're wondering how to do life with six kids...join the club. Maybe the organization posts will help?! Kathryn is, unashamedly, a Dr Pepper super fan, a die-hard Texas Aggie, a devout Catholic (converted and confirmed an hour before her rehearsal dinner), a Pure Barre enthusiast and a lover of all things Beautycounter.
