Top Ten: My 10 Lives
After Scott and I cleaned out some closets this weekend, I was reminded of some memories that had long been put on a shelf and nearly forgotten. Growing up, throughout college, and post graduation, I've had some pretty fun (and surprising) jobs. Some lasted years, others just a day!TOP TEN: MY 10 LIVES1. Waitress at a mexican food restaurant (this was the one-dayer!)2. Junior sales associate at Dillard's. I "won" this one while I was in high school as part ...
Jardine’s!
Oh my, what a fun outing. Fun times were had by all. See pictures if you don't believe me. Oh about the picture above? I know. John Paul.We were the only folks in Buda that morning apparently. When I called the front desk before we left, Judy - the friendly Jardine's lady - let me know that they only do tours for 10 or more and you have to call ahead. But, we ventured down there anyway. Hey, there was ...

Janathan (sorry, that was our name for her, her real name is Jan) and Leighton have three VERY adorable kids - Zack (8), Caleb (6) and Sarah (4-1/2). Our kids had a great time, it ...
VBS Craziness
At last Friday's VBS Closing Mass, Scott joined us. Can I tell you how much I love that Scott can leave his job and come to stuff like this??? Oh, and can I also tell you that it was a spectacular hour with God? We had 170 kids, 100 adults and youth volunteers and about 75 parents and family members that attended. But, for me, it was more than the numbers. The songs, the homily, Fr. Albert's enthusiasm and the ...

... and welcome to the chaos. I know a thing or two about big families (I've got 6 kids), carpool, Catholic converts, the Texas Aggies, prematurity, date nights with Mr. Whitaker, organization and party planning, but I still don't know why it's so hard for my kids to put up their shoes. My Texas-sized heart is honored to have you here! Contact me at kathrynwhitakertx@gmail.com
