Pope! Day two.

Oh, my what a day. Great Mass with the Bishop this morning and then off to St. Peter's for the General Audience with the Holy Father.Can I tell you how close we were to him! Kathryn will be so JEALOUS! I love you babe and I promise I got great photos.After a two hour lunch, love those Italians, we toured Tivoli and Villa d'Este and its 1,000 fountains, yes that number is correct.Do we have a future pope from America...only ...

Well blogger fans, your captian for the next two weeks will be the hubby of the wonderful author of this blog. The man of the house is officially en route to Italy. While we're super sad not to have him here for a while, we know he's going to have a blast. Well, I thought I was prepared to be a baseball mom. I had the soccer mom and basketball mom gigs down pat.Kathryn meet baseball.Baseball meet Kathryn.In the last 10 days, we've gotten 12 emails about baseball. Yep, 12. That, in addition to the reminders about the SEVEN practices in the next 2.5 weeks. If you're counting, that's two practicies a week for five-year-olds. Am I missing something here? We have this HUGE, and I'm talking ALL CAPS folks, sign on the window next to our front door that says...PLEASE KNOCKThat's it. Not mean, not unclear, pretty durn straightforward. Can anyone tell me why the guy who came to fix my washing machine clearly can't read? Rang that doorbell like a pro 10 minutes before naptime was finito. Scratch that, his little trigger finger successfully ended that little slice of heaven.:::sigh:::
