Top Ten: Today’s Missed Opportunities

I’m not sure why I was in such a melancholy mood today.  Maybe it was because the 4-year-old gave herself bangs with the scissors, or because the boys were SO not nice to one another, or because I’m tired.  Dunno.  Either way you slice it, this is how today went down…

TOP TEN:  MISSED OPPORTUNITIES

1.  Not enough loving.

2.  Not enough playing.

3.  Too much facebooking.

4.  Too much texting.

5.  Not enough cooking.

6.  Not enough laughing.

7.  Too much yelling.

8.  Too much fighting.

9.  Not enough praying.

10.  Too much…stuff.

We’ll do better tomorrow, right God?

You need those days so you'll appreciate the "other" days… when you have all the loving, playing, praying, etc. to hold you over to the next day like today.

My day was yesterday. Started crying during bath time and Luke (little boys who have that name are soo sweet, Kathryn. Of course we are biased) gave me a great big hug and said, "mama it's ok, I love my bath time with you."
