Happy New Year!
Yes, we’re slightly behind time around here. But, we’re just in denial that the new year gets fully underway this week as Scott and the kids head back to work and school. My day-to-day pretty much stays the same.
I must say (to borrow the analogy from a friend Ali), being a stay-at-home mom is sometimes the loneliest job in the world. The holidays bring excitement, fun, lazy mornings, pajamas ’til noon, late night movies and adult conversation. It’s divine. And I’m always sad when it comes to an end.
We did lots ‘o honey-do’s this holiday break. Scott installed three closet/storage systems (I love me some Container Store elfa), we cleaned out the garage, made a run to Goodwill, trashed a ton of junk, cleaned out closets, organized tax stuff, wrote thank you notes, went on some dates and spent some quality time as a family. Love. Love. Love.
Now it’s on to a new year. New possibilities. New memories. New goals. Fresh start.
In the coming weeks, I’ll share with you some of our goals for ’10. For now, we’re still working out the details. But, rest assured, we have big plans for a new decade. No time like the present.
happy NEW year, my friend.
