Snapshots: Express Baseball!

This past Sunday, one of my clients invited the family to enjoy the Round Rock Express baseball game from the suites. Sweet! We ate, and ate, and ate - cotton candy, popcorn, chips, cokes - yes, we do let the kids let loose once in a while 🙂 We even witnessed 3 home runs!! The ballpark had a free promotion and passed out Nolan Ryan jerseys. The kids wore them all night. As long as Anna-Laura's is, she'll be wearing ...

Overheard at Mass

Last night, I took the boys with me to Mass. They're finally at the age where you can take them and hear about half of the homily as opposed to bringing the whole family and spending the entire hour in the back, wondering if you're at church or the supermarket.Anyway, at the Mass we had a visiting priest, a Paulist Father, in town for our Parish Mission. 20 Questions

Will got the 20 questions hand-held game for his birthday. It's been a source of a lot of laughs around here. I almost stumped it with "Texas A&M University", but after 24 questions, it guessed "university." Pretty close, considering it asks questions in which you answer, "yes", "no", "sometimes", "unknown".Our latest round of laughs was blog worthy, so I'll share the story with you. Saturday afternoon, Will busts out the game and a fight immediately ensues between him and John ...

Howdy!

... and welcome to the mess. I know a thing or two about big families (I've got 6 kids + a daughter-in-law), carpool, grief, Jesus, the Texas Aggies, prematurity, marriage counseling, decluttering and party planning, but I still don't know why it's so hard for my kids to put up their shoes. My Texas-sized heart is honored to have you here!
