2017 Gift Guide
Hooray! It’s almost Thanksgiving. I’m always grateful that holiday falls before Advent and Christmas. It is a tangible reminder to be grateful for a Maker who has given me this beautiful life, with all its joys and sufferings, all its love and sorrow. I pray you have a peace-filled week.
As we look toward the season of giving, we’re making the interior choice to give with purpose. It’s easy to get into the rat race of flash sales! coupons! door buster savings! and all that goes with it. When I put together this gift guide, I did it with much prayer and thought about what I truly love to give and receive, an emphasis on small business and items that I love to have in my own home. There was no way to capture it all, so I narrowed it down to three things per category, with that hope that many items fit your holiday budget. And, if not, perhaps it’s something you’ll put on your wish list or start saving for down the road.
May you give with purpose, rather than just giving to give. And may this season provide you peace as we march toward the most magnificent birth. Happy shopping!
Those wall rosaries are a new creation of my dear friend, Deme, from Lily Joy Designs. Use TEAMWHIT15 for 15% off. I cannot wait to place my order. Providential Company has these stunning (and delightfully scented) soy candles and more. We met back in September and she has such a wonderful servant’s heart. My Mary necklace gets the most DMs on my Instagram account, everyone wanting to know where it’s from. And, My Saint My Hero has even more religious jewelry you’ll love.
The flip fold from the Container Store is a game changer. Now, we stand our shirts up on end, instead of stacking them, and it has made all the difference. Blessed is She‘s planner is my new favorite tool. I use it – all the time. And, this family binder from Jen at iHeartOrganizing, that you can personalize with the pages that make sense for your family, has been an incredibly useful tool in our home.
At least once a week, someone asks where I got those earrings. Wonder no more. And, if you visit Kendra Scott during your birthday month, you get 50% off anything in the store! Don’t live near one? Call them! If you want the best tasting cookies on the block, now you know my secret. Doughmakers is truly the best bakeware out there. And, I have RAVED about this cookbook by Samantha Skaggs
. The hype is real, y’all. Get yourself this thing!
My brother-in-law gifted Scott with that Grill Hog and he loves it. Gets the job done without ruining your grill. Yeti, personalized with your collegiate logo (or any pro sports team) in a colster that holds a can or a bottle? Yes, please. That might even be a gift for you, ladies. And, while this gift is intense it certainly made a mark on my husband. Exodus 90 isn’t for the faint at heart, but it is for the man who wants a deeper and more enriching spiritual life.
I probably have way too many t-shirts from Stately Type, but I just can’t quit them. They’re so creative and soft! This t-shirt from Catholic Threads is not only awesome, but it supports my dear friend, Mary. You won’t regret adding this to your closet or to someone’s you love. **Pre-sale ends Tuesday, 11/21!** And, I have loooong been a fan of Sweet Tees. They helped us outfit almost the whole family for photos last year! These Texas gals have my heart, and my closet.
Photography has always been a love of mine, so when I discovered an online course that actually worked, was affordable and I loved, I was an instant fan. I’m telling you, you won’t be disappointed with SPS. They have a regular course, a sports course and an all-new iPhone course (50% off on Black Friday!). You can start with his free 7-part snackable course to see if it’s for you. Carting around the camera deserves a beautiful AND functional bag. I have put this one from Shutterbag through the ringer and it still looks gorgeous. Love. It. And, it’s no secret how much I love that Flytographer has made capturing memories so dang easy and awesome! Click here for $25 off your shoot, anywhere in the world!
I’ve always been a fan of toys that encourage creative play. Here’s my top three: playing card decks (just think Go Fish, Solitaire or our family favorite, Poker), this BluTrack starter set (imagine the tracks they can build!) or Kapla blocks (my boys still dig these).
I think girls are so much fun to shop for, maybe because I am one! We’ve long been Harry Potter fans here, and these illustrated HP books are beyond fabulous. If you have one that loves to color, the Windows Into Christ book, inspired by the stained glass in Chartres, France, will keep them busy and focused on God’s handiwork. And, you just can’t go wrong with a cute, embroidered pillow by Yelli Kelli, personalized in any color, with any name and embellishments. My girls squealed when they opened theirs last year!
Last, but not least, let’s talk littles. Nell, at Whole Parenting Goods, makes the softest blankets, bibs and dresses. She’s the real deal (and a real friend, too). Shannon from Chews Life made my daughter *the* cutest silicone/chewable Aggie rosary, but she has one million things you’ll fall in love with if you’ve got a baby or toddler in the house. I can’t brag on her enough. And, finally if you don’t have a Tiny Saint in the house, best get on that. These are great clipped to backpacks, lunch sacks, diaper bags or car keys.
And that’s the best I’ve got, y’all. If any of these places offer codes or discounts, I promise to update it!

You are so kind, my friend! Thank you for including me!
I just met a sweet woman the other day who works for Kendra Scott’s foundation. I had no idea they gave so much back to the community – a bonus!
They are one of the most philanthropic companies I know!
Such an awesome round up! Thanks so much for including us, Kathryn!
