A Feast for the Pole
It’s possible we *might* be a little partial to this polish saint.
We did, after all, name a kid after him.
Happy feast day St. John Paul II!
In two weeks, our sixth grade class will participate in the saint project at school. They research a saint, present their findings and – the best part – is they dress up as said saint and conduct a parade at Mass. Favorite. One. Of. The. Year. John Paul is sporting a white cassock, a zucchetto and the sah-weetest red velvet shoes with gold trim. Etsy. It’s your new BFF.
I’ve written many times about the Pope, as an office and as a person. We had the privilege of meeting JP2 and being in many papal audiences with him. There is nothing like it. And, yes, everytime we were in his presence you could most definitely feel the Holy Spirit. Our world is blessed to have him as an intecessor for our prayers.
That Time When I Thought John Paul II Was Every Pope’s Name
If you’re a lover of the ‘gram, I’m giving away something super fun over there. Head on over!
Kathryn, I don’t even know what to say. My eyes are leaking again. To think we were in the presence of a saint! I just re-read your blog about JPII. This following the very special day with St. Maria Goretti here in our church is almost too much to take in.
Happy Feast of St. John Paul II!
God bless you!

BTW, when you see St. Maria Goretti, you may receive a healing for your knee.
Oh, Verda, I hadn’t even thought of taking that intention with me. Thank you!!
