Advent: Teacher Gifts

Every year, we look for a fun, meaningful and heartfelt way to tell our teachers (and Luke’s therapists!) how much they mean to our family. In year’s past, I’ve made mixes and given gift cards. This year, I opted to put my culinary and Pinterest pinning skills to work. For months, I’ve been pinning some dee-licious recipes and they are doing me NO favors just sitting on those boards.

Oh, to make those treats come to life for people we adore and love!

These are the goodies, with links to the recipes, to boot. ‘Cause I’m all nice like that. If my hips are getting bigger, so are yours, girlfriend.

Chocolate Peppermint Blossoms, compliments of Bake at 350
Sugar Crinkles, compliments of Southern Living (warning: these are like crack cocaine)
Better than Williams-Sonoma Peppermint Bark, compliments of Sipping Lemonade
Reindeer Peanut Butter Cookies, compliments of everywhere on the interwebs. A quick tutorial, just pinch the bottom of the cookie dough to make the nose. Immediately after removing from the oven, add miniature pretzels for antlers, chocolate chips for eyes and red M&M for nose. Let cool before removing from cookie sheet.

After baking those lovelies, we put them in some great boxes I scored 75% off last year at the Container Store, tied with bakers twine and added a little card. As Anna-Laura says, easy peasy lemon squeezy.
