Happy 16th Anniversary Sweetheart!

Today at exactly 3:32pm, the Mr. and I got hitched. When we said “I do” back in 1996, we had no idea the road God had paved for our life together.

I didn’t know we’d have five beautiful children, or that I would suffer a miscarriage or have a NICU stay with our youngest.

I didn’t know that our first married fight would be over a 50-cent Coke.

I didn’t know that Scott could clean toilets.

I didn’t know that, if given the chance, he would go back to school and major in landscape architecture.

I didn’t know that we would venture to Europe three times and see the Pope a combined 15 times.

I didn’t know that we’d renew our wedding vows, twice, at St. Peter’s Basilica.

I didn’t know that it would break my heart to see him cry.

But, what I did know is that I wanted to spend “all the days of my life” with this man. I knew that he loved me and he loved God, together, we’ve figured out the rest. Here’s to 16 pretty darn amazing years. I look forward to many, many more.

Kathryn – This is beautiful and an inspiration to the rest of us. It’s just so nice to see another woman completely in love with her spouse – lifting him up in faith and side-by-side on the journey. I’m so happy this was the first thing I read this morning. : )

Happy Anniversary! It would have been nice to know you both more while I lived in Texas.

Thanks, Elda. The kiddos were behind the camera acting like crazy people. Why do you think we’re smiling so big? Blessings to you, friend.
