“I don’t want there to be any sad faces on my birthday.”
Clare, in reponse to John Paul feeling under the weather yesterday.  So cute.

“Happy birthday to ME!”
Clare said as she bounded down the stairs for breakfast.

“I’m ready for DEEP to be over so I can spend some time at home with you, Mom.”
Will, after a great three weeks at gifted and talented camp. I don’t know how much longer he will have that sentiment, so hallelujah, I’m still a “cool mom.”

“Hep me up.”
Luke said a three-word sentence…without being prompted.  Oh my stars.

“Wukie is the cutest memba in the famwee.”
Clare declared the other morning.  Yes, I think he is.  Although, I think he might be in a tie with his sister.

“Man, all your kids have the longest eyelashes.”
Haley, our sweet swim instructor.  I think she’s right.

We’ve had a decent week.  I won’t lie and say it was our best – Scott was gone 3 of the 5 nights – and that always makes it a bit tougher.  Then, I started feeling bad, then Luke, then John Paul.  So, yeah, we’ve had better.  I am really looking forward to a STELLAR birthday celebration for Clare tomorrow.  The theme is candy and you can bet I had tons ‘o fun with that; birthday wrap-up to come next week.  We have dinner with some sweet friends and some pool time in our future this weekend.  I am ready.  Make it a great weekend!

I love that Clare is so intentional about celebrating her birthday! Can’t imagine where that comes from. 😉
