HDYDI: Pumpkin Patch 2011

We are so grateful to those that have taken a few quick moments to click over and vote for sweet Lonestar Luke as “Preemie of the Year.”  You can vote everyday, so please take a moment and go support him.  I’m begging now, aren’t I?  Vote HERE!

The kids had the day off school last week, so I thought it would be a fun day to dress them all up in their fall stuff and head to the pumpkin patch.  Back when I had just two, we had this super nostlagic day, spent the entire day at the patch over at Sweet Berry Farms and came home completely exhausted.  Now, I just drive 15 minutes to this lovely church in Round Rock, look around for “the pumpkin” for 30 minutes, take some pictures and come home feeling the exact same way!

Even though it’s a condensed version, the memories are still just as precious.  May I present, the patch…

First, your “let’s scrapbook this” photo with Mom.  Awww.

Then, the “yep, that’s reality” photo.

The even funnier part (well, to me it was funny) was that Luke had been throwing up all morning.  But, I knew we had a window of opportunity.  The kids weren’t going to be out of school like this again before Halloween, the patch would not be nearly this deserted mid-day and the weather would not be this beautiful.  Rub some dirt in it, Luke.  If I stayed home everytime he urped, I’d still be wearing my clothes from labor and delivery.  I got everyone dressed, make them recite “the rules” of our outing and we prayed a few Hail Mary’s…only to drive up to the patch and find out they didn’t open for two more hours.

That’s one for Murphy and his stupid law.

So, we went home, ate some lunch, took some naps and tried again a few hours later.  Such is life, right?  Make that one for supermom.

Series tied at 1-1.
