Before & After: Take 2

The very first room we touched was the Master Jedi space. The boys, with a wee bit of help from Mom and the Internet, found some sweet bedding at one of my favorite stores, PB Kids (also known as the store that eats money). But, I told them the catch was that we had to find something to sell to pay for it all.

I’m all about the teachable moment.

We really thought their old bed was going to work great. It was a twin with a trundle that could convert into a bunk bed, at least that’s what we thought. When I went to order said bunk, the “conversion kit” was discontinued. Figures. Enter ye old standby, Craigslist. Love that internet nugget. We sold the bed and trundle (much to the boys hoops and hollers), headed over to IKEA and then to PB. I love it when a plan comes together. Here’s the result.

Oh, and I would be remiss without mentioning that the rockin’ outerspace artwork is from the talented hand of my sister-in-law’s brother, Karl. The guy has some serious talent.

I must say, with the exception of Saturday mornings, they do a pretty darn good job of keeping it picked up now that we have a gameroom for all the light sabers, action figures and mish mash of randomness. Have I told you how much we’re loving all this space?
