Having Sick Kids Stinks, Really

Well, here I sit at my computer. It’s 11:49pm and Clare still isn’t asleep. For the past 2 weeks she’s had nastiness in her system and just can’t seem to flush it out. Seriously? The amount of diapers I’ve changed (3 in the last 30 minutes which is part of the reason she’s still awake) would fill a small landfill. Ugh. I hate this. This is the part of parenthood they don’t show on the Gerber commercials. It stinks. There, I said it. I hate it. Yes, that’s a word we shouldn’t use mommy, my kids would say. But, I’m saying it. I hate when my kids are sick, especially when they’re too little to tell you what’s wrong. So, for all you parents that have been where we are, I know you feel me. For those that are just beginning, be thankful there’s now a vaccine for Rotavirus. For those that aren’t there yet, don’t read this post 🙂

This image of Clare Bear is now the image on my desktop! 🙂 It’s so stinkin’ cute!!! Hang in there Kathryn! We’re very proud of the example that you are as a mother!

We are having a round robin of sickness at our house too – kisses to baby Clare.

I completely feel you! Even with a vaccine for Rotavirus, Grace still managed to get it. And she shared it with me, my brother, and my Mom! At least she’s good at sharing 🙂
