Date Night, et. al
Yes, amidst the craziness we have had a few of these. I mean, how do you think we stay sane? It’s taken us two weeks to watch the latest trilogy, and no, I’m not talking about Star Wars. Here’s a hint…”I’m gonna make him an offer that he can’t refuse.” Yep, we hunkered down and watched all three Godfather movies. Classic. But, I guess that’s what puts two of the three on the Top 100 list, right? Plus, it gave us a good excuse to watch even more movies about Italy. We have a slight addiction problem with that country. What’s not to love???
We also found some time for a little Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds in Singin’ in the Rain. Next to Casablanca, I think this is my new favorite. I’m still humming the tune, “Good mornin’, good mornin’, we’ve gabbed the whole night through. Good mornin’, good mornin’ to you!”
And for the et. al…I got this joke from a friend this morning and it really cracked me up. I’ve heard it before, but for some reason this morning it hit the funny bone.
JOKE OF THE DAY
Three aspiring student psychiatrists from various colleges were
Attending their first class on emotional extremes.
“Just to establish some parameters,” said the professor to the student
From the University of Houston, “What is the opposite of joy?”
“Sadness,” replied the student.
“And the opposite of depression?” the professor asked of the young lady
From Rice University.
“Elation,” said she.
“And you sir,” he said to the young man from Texas A&M,
“How about the opposite of woe?”
The Aggie replied, “Sir, I believe that would be giddy-up.”
PARTING SHOTS
