What I Wore Sunday (Vol. 41): Skipping Out Early & Double the WIWS Fun
This week we did a family no-no. We left Mass early.
But it was all for good reason. The ministry fair was today, so we bolted just after the blessing so we could divide and conquer as a family and staff some tables in the parish activity center. Will was on tap for Altar Servers, Scott for Catholic schools and me for Engaged/Sponsor Couple.
Stewardship weekend always inspires and challenges me. It inspires me to get more people involved and it challenges me to re-think where we put our time and talent in our parish. A dear friend once reminded me, “Sometimes the ministry you need to serve is your own family.” A to the MEN, Sister. Our family has gone through varying times of involvement. We’ve said yes and we’ve said no, but ultimately we’ve learned to choose the ministries based on our season of life. If you’re trying to decide how to best serve your own church, regardless of religious affiliation, here’s a few ideas.
Outfit deets:
Shirt: Motherhood Maternity
Cardigan: noVae Clothing
Skirt: White House Black Market (I heart you maxi skirt)
Boots: Dillard’s
Jewelry: Silpada (earrings), Talbot’s (necklace), James Avery (bracelet)
Baby bump: 26 weeks
We were out super de-duper late last night kicking off the start of Catholic schools. It’s our diocesan Catholic Schools Event and oh y’all, it never disappoints. I think I went to bed after midnight and totally paid for that this morning. Sure hope the priest dismissed all my yawning.
And, if you missed my seven quick takes on Friday, I shared this gem of a photo. It is, indeed, what I wish I could wear EVERY Sunday.
With that, have a great weekend and go find more fashion inspiration over at FLAP!
I have to get one of those skirts!!! I keep drooling over them lol. You look great!
You look great, Kathryn! Rockin’ the non-maternity clothes at 26 weeks!
Seeing your short-sleeves are making this northerner both cold and jealous! But you look great!
I love all your cute clothes. I had a meltdown moment this morning when I could find nothing to fit over my growing belly. Time to go shopping I suppose 🙂
Goodness your bump is adorable! Love that skirt – maxi skirts are an absolute miracle for moms!
Stunning! I’ve been looking for the right maxi skirt since last summer and still haven’t bit the bullet. Love the bold stripe pattern of yours.
I love your outfit! I have a similar maxi skirt that is coral and white. I love it. Your entire outfit is simply adorable. You look wonderful, Mama!
Adorable baby bump! You look great, Kathryn. And I love the color of your skirt!
You look great as usual! And I think it’s more than acceptable to leave right after the blessing if you are going to work the ministry fair. No sneaking necessary! 🙂
Beautiful baby bump 🙂 And I really wish the temp would go above -10 here so I could wear my maxi skirts!
