HDYDI: Shop for Appliances with Kids

You don’t!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, I’m so funny.  If you follow me on FB, you know that our oven went kaput last Friday.  Not exactly the appliance I had planned to replace next, mind you.  You know, I was dreaming of a new dishwasher that was whisper quiet, or a fridge with crazy storage.  Look at me.  Look at what I’ve become.  Daydreaming about metal and steel appliances.  I did not, however, dream about sexy ovens.  But, it is what it is.  This weekend we went shopping for a new oven and oh my Lordy.  Note to self:  drink a glass of wine before you do.

Here’s just a few tips and tricks I’d suggest if YOU try and do it.

HDYDI:  APPLIANCE SHOPPING WITH KIDS

1.  Drink a glass of wine.

2.  Shop on the internet and narrow it down, to say, one.

3.  Drink another glass of wine and hand your husband the van keys.

4.  Abort mission, send your husband to the movies with the kids, drink another glass of wine and order the appliance online.

Y’all it was nuts.  Oh, and ovens aren’t cheap.  Just in case you’re wondering.
