Christmas crazy has officially begun

Yes, I know.  I’m totally invading on my fun QOTW.  Next week, folks.

I still can’t believe Thanksgiving is in two weeks.  Yikes!  I’m already starting to feel the whir of crazy as December approaches.  For those of you without children in school, three words for you:  Just. You. Wait.

School-age mommas dread two months, December and May.  Yes, they are lovely, but I feel like a airplane runway director managing play rehearsals, costumes, basketball practice, Christmas gifts for the teachers, pictures with Santa, cookie exchanges, ornament parties, girls’ night outs, office parties, special school programs and festivities, Christmas cards, house decorating, holiday baking…and that just gets us to the first two weeks of the month.  Somewhere in there I’m supposed to enjoy Advent and slow down.

Hold on, I had to get back up.  Nearly broke a hip from laughing myself off the chair.  This is why I start now on planning on all that stuff so when the first Sunday of Advent rolls around I’m of sane mind to recognize and enjoy it.  With each additional child that becomes a wee bit more challenging.  Bring it baby, I’m organized this year!

This weekend we have alot going on, but it should be a blast.  Will’s last flag football game and his FIRST 4-H Food Show, a fourth grade social, another NICU reunion (yea!) and Christmas play practice.  Yes, all in less than 24 hours.  Giddy up.  Lots of pictures next week.  Lots.  Make it a great weekend.

I really admire your goal of being present for Advent; but only someone like you, who is so organized, could carry it off… you go, Girlfriend!
