Happy Feast of the Baptism of our Lord!
I am one day off, but you get the jist.
This weekend’s Mass was heavenly (I got to nurse in the nursing mom’s room, complete with closed circuit TV and a glider – WOW!). The kids had great behavior which always makes for a more enjoyable time, right?
Fr. Guzaldo was our visiting priest this weekend and he had some good reminders about the Sacrament of Baptism. It got me thinking about our own children’s big days, which led me to the scrapbooks (for the first three!) and the computer files for Clare and Luke. So many wonderful emotions are connected with these five days. I’d like to offer up some special prayers of thanksgiving for our 10, yes TEN Godparents:
Fr. Kevin, Vince, Fr. David, Fr. Richard and Fr. Dean / Carla, Gachia, Lynne, Cathy and Melanie – you are amazing examples of faith to our children and we are honored to have you as a permanent part of our family!
That one of Luke just kills me. Ugh-
Compared to the others, I know. I'm reminded as I see that picture that baptism brings with it joy, but it also brings peace. And we felt a tubload of it that evening in the NICU bay. We have come a long way…
I just love how you can barely see Will’s eyes in Anna-Laura’s picture and you can see his face in Clare’s. Super Sweet!
