Miss Sassypants

Anybody out there have one of these? I did not realize when the OB yelled out “It’s a girl” just how drama-filled life could be. Mom/Dad, surely I was not this sassy?

The following scenarios:

Missing flip flop. Wrong cup for her juice. Misplaced baby/blanket/toy. Seatbelt not buckled. Wrong item cooked for lunch. Not enough blueberries or too many. Blueberry smeared on shirt. And on and on…

Induce the following results:

Tears.
Screaming.
“I don’t like you Momma”.
More screaming.
Yelling.
Writhing on the floor.
More tears.

Seriously?

I’ve questioned, particularly in the last few weeks, if I’m cut out to be the mom of girls. Guess it’s too late now, right? Any good books, advice you can share would be fab. My patience was exhausted last year on this one. God love her – and I do very much – I just am struggling with how to be the best Mom to her. Ugh.

Totally feeling you over here -I could have written that post. Also, mine came home from art camp today with a big cut in her shirt – apparently she wanted a button on it so she cut a hole for it. Cool.

I want in on any books, advice, words of wisdom, knowledge banks or anything else you find. I've got two of those and the little one actually seems to be worse than the big one – and I didn't actually think that was possible! I'm not sure I'm going to still have sanity left by the time they are teenagers! They are, after all, only 5 and 2. Someone please help us out.

How about bossing the brothers or not talking (silent treatments) and pouting until you guess the problem?

Wow – I'd better start praying for grace and patience now!

Well, it's good to know the train to "what the heck were we thinking?" has a full house. Hopefully, Shannon, that shirt was not one of your favs 🙂 Amanda, be careful when you pray for patience…God always sends a test!

This post actually made me feel better…it's not just Grace that behaves this way. The drama is growing stronger the older she gets 🙂
