    Dear Kathryn,

    I am a New mom and previous lover of pure barre. I just had my first baby and now have an above naval diastasis measuring 4 fingerwidths at the widest point. We are also lovers of the Catholic Church and I’m so glad I found your blog. I’m nervous about returning to barre and I am currently seeing a PT twice a week. Would you mind emailing me? If love to pick your brain about your pb modifications; having more children w a diastasis; etc.

    Kathryn! Kudos to you for taking the time you deserve for yourself! I swear we were twins separated at birth. I just had my 7th baby 2 months ago and will be turning 40 in August. I have a diastasis this time, for the first time I think? I’ve been researching exercises to help close it. I did barre videos prior to my pregnancy and during and I just loved how strong they made me feel. I’m looking forward to getting back into them but want to take it slow so as not to make the diastasis worse.
