Blessed is She: The Sins We Don’t Want to See

It’s funny/providential how your words come back to really kick you in the a**, isn’t it? I wrote this reflection two months ago. Evidently, I wrote it just for me. Here’s your peek, the rest is over at Blessed is She.

Time to get started on the discipleship and quit being a bystander.

It was supposed to just be a date night with a side of chips and queso.

But after my husband and I watched the movie “Spotlight”—a chronicle of the Boston priest scandal, as seen through the eyes of the Boston Globe’s Spotlight reporting team—I was struck by one overarching theme.

I, too, have turned a blind eye to wrongdoing and simply looked the other away.

And that was a sobering reality. We all do it. Don’t kid yourself.

I don’t usually know who writes the reflections until I get to the bottom of the email but without fail every time it’s one of yours my brain says “this has got to be written by Kathryn.” Not sure if it’s all the ya’lls (which totally speaks my language! Lol) or the incredible messages that get to the depths of my soul. Either way, thanks so much for sharing your heart ?
