I couldn’t let the day pass without sharing this gem.
“It’s smokey outside, momma.”
Clare, after seeing all the fog outside. I heart 4yo lingo.
Quite honestly, I’m a little scared if we’re going to survive tomorrow. Basketball practice, two birthday parties, John Paul’s first reconciliation, a wedding, an office Christmas party and a partridge in a pear tree. It’s our last dose of crazy, so I’m just going to lean into it. ‘Tis the season, right? We’re going to work on seeing God in those moments, because there is no doubt He will be all around us on Saturday! Enjoy your weekend and we’ll see you on Monday. I’ll have great photos and stories to share!!
What’s a reconciliation?
Elizabeth, it’s probably more common to call it confession. Usually, during the second grade year, our children participate in two sacraments in the church: first reconciliation (confession) and then first communion. I’ll be blogging more about it next week. Good question!
Definitely know confession. Thanks!
I like the term ‘reconciliation’ so much better than the term ‘confession’! The idea of being reconciled with Christ sounds inviting-something I really want to do.
We had one doing first reconciliation too.
