“Mom down! Mom down!”
Oh my, on Wednesday I started feeling crummy and then mack truck showed up on Thursday. I hate viruses. And, as much as the free world loves football weather and jackets, I hate colds, the flu and general sickness ickiness. It probably has a ton to do with keeping Luke well.
We have an insanely crazy fun weekend ahead. Scott, Will and Anna-Laura are heading to Dallas for part of the weekend so Will can compete in a 5th grade math tournament. We’re learning that math geeks are cool. Really, really cool. I’m mostly excited for them, but a little jealous. They all get to meet cousin Hudson and love on a baby before me. Not fair. While they’re loving on baby smells, I get the “joy” of waking up the household at 6am on a Saturday morning so we can head to Bastrop for a flag football bowl game. Someday I will remind John Paul that THIS is love. After the game, we head back to Austin for the Dell Children’s NICU reunion and Clare’s soccer game. All of that before noon. Whew. Can you say “family nap” on Saturday afternoon?!
It’s been a good week, I’ve just been in a funk. It could be because my work emails have been accumulating faster than dust around here and I feel horrible. Here’s hoping this weekend brings renewed health and some really awesome family time. Make it a great weekend!
Um, Math nerds ARE cool! That rocks! I am trying to not live vicariously through my children, but this will be very, very hard when they start attending Math functions.
