QOTW: March 4, 2011

Addendum to Wednesday’s Top Ten:
I cannot believe I forgot to share this!  When Will was born, we had a friend who had traveled to Texas and brought back some Lone Star soil.  We placed it under the gurney and voila.  He was “technically” born over Texas soil.  (Nicole, do you remember Jim doing that?!)

“Oh mom, you won’t be sad when I go to ‘cool, you still have Wukie at home!”
Clare, when I told her how I couldn’t believe she would be starting kindergarten in another year and a half.  That girl just melts. my. heart.

“DATE NIGHT!!!”
Yes sir.  Scott and I have an actual get-dressed-up-hire-a-sitter-eat-hot-food kind of swanky date on Saturday.  And, I actually do have something fun to wear.  Win-win baby.

“I can’t believe I have to sweep the floor.  That’s gonna take like THREE YEARS!”
Will, said with an Oscar-winning inflection.  Sorry, my man, your name is by it on the chore chart.  You’re on floor duty this week.

I look back and still can’t believe how hideous February was.  In the last two weeks alone, we’ve cleaned off two bottles of children’s ibuprofen, two bottles of infant tylenol, done 30 (yes THIRTY) load of laundry, washed 10 loads of dishes, vacuumed and scrubbed more tables, floors, pillows and carpets, and lysoled more surfaces than I knew existed.  Germs be gone, I say.

March is going to be fab, I just feel it.  We have Luke’s BIG doctor’s appointment on Tuesday, the one where we find out just how much weight he lost and gained and if surgery is still on the table.  Spring break is coming up – can I get a hallelujah?  And, my sweet Will turns 10.  Don’t even get me started.  I’m already tearing up at how quickly his life is passing before my eyes.

You’ll have to wait on your bball recap and Lenten posts until next week.  Sorry Charlie.  We have a busy weekend and week ahead.  As always, life is snowglobe of crazy around here 🙂  Make it a great weekend!
