“Luke is a strong little guy, and with all the prayer coming his way – God will do His work.”
Will’s 3rd grade teacher, Mr. Y, in a message to me this week.  Not only is our family blessed to have him teaching Will, but he is a man of great faith who shared such kind and introspective words.  God bless ’em.

“Why did you get kicked out of your family?”
John Paul, to me, asking why my last name was different than his Nana’s.  Kindergarteners are funny people.

JP:  “Mom, you know that verse in the Bible, ‘the first shall be last and the last shall be first’?”
Me:  “Yes {feeling slightly proud that he was quoting scripture}”
JP:  “Well, I want to be last so I can be first at lunch.”

“No!”
Scott and I to the kids.  It’s a word they haven’t heard in a while.  Bootcamp kiddos.  Bootcamp.

“WHAT are you doing here?”
Tammie, our general surgeon’s Nurse Practioner, when she saw us in the ER on Sunday morning.  Trust me Tammie, I asked the same question.

We have a sweet weekend planned.  Time as a couple, time with the kids and time with some dear friends who are getting ready to move 2,000 miles away (sniff, sniff).  It should be a fantastic weekend.  Make it a great one on your end.
