Monthly Update: 14 Months
Ok, before I get started…are you LOVING the hair blowing in the wind?? SHE.HAS.HAIR.
Technically, she’s still 14 months right? To be honest, ever since school started in mid-August, we’ve been playing catch up. The whole homework, soccer practice, dance class, making dinner, getting up early, staying up late to get it all done routine is gonna take a while. We’re still working out the kinks. And here I thought having a newborn was hard. HAHAHA. Oh, hold on, I think I just hurt something. All you moms of teenagers, stop laughing.
Alright, back to Clare Bear. So, she’s 14 months. We finally ditched the baby food and moved to the good stuff. I’ll admit, I was starting to worry. Just when you think you have momhood figured out, God throws a curve ball. The only thing she won’t eat is cheese, but obviously, by the looks of those legs, she’s eating just fine.
Her new trick is standing. Yep, that’s all she does. She doesn’t try to walk, or move. She just stands. It’s quite cute actually. She’ll just get herself steady and then she sees a sibling come running and down she goes. This girl’s no dummy. One too many head tumbles, I guess.
She loves to dance. Anytime we sing to her, she starts busting a move. And then she starts laughing. Great comic relief.
She’s a screamer. Got that from Anna-Laura I’m guessing.
She’s a sleeper. She’ll wake up in the middle of the night or mid-nap and (as my dad says), “9 out of 9 times” she goes back to sleep all on her own. So, I’ll take a cheese strike over no sleep anyday.
I have super cute video of her cruising through the house on her alligator mobile. But darn it if I can’t figure out how to upload it. Stay with me.
Mostly, she’s just a happy kid. Happy to play. Happy to eat. Happy to sleep. Happy to get in the van – again – and go pick up a brother or sister – again. I think the thing I love most about her is she’s a snuggler. At bedtime, she just buries her head in the crook of my neck and starts patting my back, as if to say, “Night, night Mommy. It’s been a long day. Time for bed.”
Clare Rose there aren’t enough words in the English language to describe how much we love you…
look how old she’s getting! 🙁
Very cute pictures! I love the one of her smiling by the tub. She looks like such a happy kiddo. Good work, as usual!
Clare is growing up so fast! We need to get her and Grace together for some dancing 🙂 Grace loves to shake it!
