Happy Baptismal Anniversaries (LATE!)

Yes, not only am I a slacker blogger, but I forgot to wish my two girls a happy baptismal day, July 30 and September 1. We didn’t forget to lavish them with hugs, kisses and many prayers around here, I just forgot to document the day on Team Whitaker. Hey, Supermom slips sometimes 🙂

So, Miss Clare – your day was exceptional. Your Godparents were here from Indiana and you were surrounded by your family – all aunts/uncles/cousin/grands and great-grands, alike. It doesn’t get any better than that. The fabulous pictures that I will certainly treasure for a lifetime were taken by a good friend and fellow sorority sister. The day was made even sweeter when Uncle Cory and Aunt Jennifer announced their pregnancy. Hard to belive Master Alex is now 7 months old!

And, Miss ALGie. Your baptismal pictures are somewhere in my closet in a scrapbook. But, this picture sums up your demeanor…happy. Your day was great fun. You were our first girl and the baptism caught me a little overwhelmed with emotion…ok, so they all did.

There’s so much to love about a Catholic baptism. But, above all it’s been a reminder to Scott and I about the amazing responsibility we have to teach our children to know, love and serve God. That’s tough stuff. So, we just take it one day (and today, perhaps one hour) at a time.

To the sweet, loud, funny, happy girls in our household: We love ya and can’t wait to see you grow to become good friends.

That picture of you and Clare always makes me smile – especially considering what a shrimp she was when she was born. Not to be political – but nursing works!!!

    Happy Baptismal Days girls!

Yes, yes it does. Shannon, I wish I could express just how much I am in awe of your talent. Thank you for sharing your gift with Team Whitaker 🙂
